Women And Development Against Distress In Africa (WADADIA) is a registered National Non-Governmental Organization(NGO). The organization is based it western region of Kenya, and implements programs in different parts of the country.

WADADIA started as a self help group that gradually changed status to a CBO and eventually an NGO. The organization was officially registered as a CBO in the year 2009 and as NGO in 2014.

WADADIA envisions a world with healthy women enjoying their full rights, and socioeconomically empowered to meet their societal obligations. It’s programs target the poorest of the poor women in the society, including the female commercial sex workers, potential sex workers( teenage school dropouts), the Fistula survivors,  and survivors of gender based violence among other vulnerable groups.

WADADIA is founded on three interrelated  pillars of psycho social support, economic empowerment and reproductive health. It’s programs and intervention revolve around this three pillar.

WADADIA works with  a passionate and dedicated team of management, staff and volunteers. It has remarkable team of community volunteers supporting the organization to deliver its mandate. WADADIA believes that intrinsic motivation is  key to success.
